ID Center

What is an i-card?

An i-card is your student's official ID for the university. The i-card will give your student access to the following services:

Meal plans
Library services
Campus Recreation
Door access
McKinley Health Center
Local bus service
Illini Cash campus debit
Discounts
Student banking (optional)

Handling their i-card

A student’s first i-card is free
- Replacements cost $20
It’s University property: do not punch, mark, sticker, or alter it
Use only your i-card
Report lost cards immediately

Getting an i-card

All IDs are issued at the ID Center, located inside the Illini Union Bookstore.
New students may provide their photo online for their first i-card – subject to approval and time for processing. Visit go.uillinois.edu/MyPhotoSubmit.
Students must present a government-issued photo ID. Visit go.Illinois.edu/ProofsOfIdentity.
